Additionally, we will highlight the crucial role sex workers have played as advocates for their rights and the rights of marginalized communities.

This course explores the cultural factors that influence Hispanic sexuality and sexual health, using Social Work Systems Theory to explain the dynamics. Students will learn about the impact of social norms, gender roles, media, family, community, health care access, religion, immigration, acculturation, assimilation, education, and awareness. The course aims to develop culturally competent strategies for sex therapy and design educational programs to improve sexual health within Hispanic communities.
