Description of Event: Differences in sexual desire between partners can create tension, frustration, and emotional distance in intimate relationships. This course explores the psychological, relational, and cultural factors that contribute to mismatched desire and offers a couples-focused therapeutic approach for addressing these challenges. Participants will learn evidence-based strategies to help partners communicate openly about their needs, negotiate sexual intimacy, and rebuild connection and satisfaction. Through case examples and practical interventions, therapists will gain tools to guide couples toward mutual understanding, sexual harmony, and healthier relational dynamics.  
 
Learning Objectives:  Participants will be able to describe 3 common psychological, relational, or cultural factors that contribute to mismatched sexual desire in couples. Participants will be able to demonstrate 3 clinical interventions to help couples communicate about desire, negotiate intimacy, and enhance sexual connection.
