Description of Event:
Grounded in the Ackerman Relational Approach (ARA), this 30-hour course explores advanced topics in sex therapy including sexuality and disability, transgender phenomena, paraphilic disorders, non-monogamy, asexuality, sexual compulsivity, surrogate partner therapy, sexsomnia, tantra, technology and intimacy, and ethics in a changing world.
Through case discussion, experiential exercises, and scholarly presentations, participants will deepen clinical competency while examining the impact of race, culture, gender, spirituality, power, and privilege on sexual worldview and practice.

ST1. Theory and methods of sex-related psychotherapy, including several different models.
