Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy for Working with Menopausal Clients
Title of Event: Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy for Working with Menopausal Clients
Description of Event:
Menopause often bring profound physical and emotional changes that can affect clients’ sexual wellness, relationships, and self-perception. For therapists working with clients in these life stages, Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy (S-CST) training offers a holistic framework to address these challenges. By integrating body-centered techniques with psychological insights, this training helps therapists guide their clients in reconnecting with their bodies, enhancing intimacy, and navigating the emotional impacts of hormonal shifts.
This training is tailored to provide therapists with the knowledge and tools to support clients experiencing sexual discomfort, decreased libido, or emotional disconnection due to menopause. Therapists will learn the latest neuroscience research on how menopause affects the brain and body, including how recent research and a renewed focus on perimenopause show us that this is a normal and deeply meaningful transformative life stage. It emphasizes a compassionate, individualized approach that promotes balance and well-being.
