Sexuality Training and Healing Retreat in Peru

July 4-9, 2026 (6 days/7 nights)

In the Sex Therapy and Andean Healing Training and Retreat, we will explore diverse ways of understanding sexuality through a pluriverse lens. This experience will help participants learn how ancient cultures conceptualize sexuality, highlighting how expressions of sexuality vary across cultural backgrounds and geographical regions. The course will introduce participants to Andean perspectives on the interconnectedness between sexuality and the natural elements, and how these relationships can be thoughtfully incorporated into sex therapy. During the retreat portion of the event, participants will engage in Andean energy healing practices and experience the benefits of this traditional modality.

Learning Objectives:

1. Explore different ways of how the Andean Cosmovision can be utilized as a lens into sex therapy.
2. Explore the Andean view on wellness and sexuality.
3. Identify the intersection of your own personal journey and sex therapy and learn how this can facilitate a more expansive healing space for our clients
4. Advance knowledge of sexual expressions, practices and behaviors across cultures, and geographies.
5. Describe and explore one’s own view on holistic methods in sex therapy.
6. Explore ways of how sex therapy can be implemented from a holistic perspective.
7. Demonstrate an understanding of how to collaborate with other professionals.
8. Demonstrate an understanding of how a holistic lens into sex therapy can assist in the conceptualizing of client’s needs.
9. Apply learned skills in course to sex therapy cases.

Sex Therapy (ST) Training:
SE3: Ethical Issues in sexuality education
ST5: Principles of consultation; collaboration of referral
ST7: Practicum Experience: Exposure to treatment of clinical sexy therapy cases through direct observation, demonstration, case review, or role playing. eLearning cannot be applied. Applicants must be very clear in their documentation as to how they gained exposure to sex therapy cases.
