Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy is an innovative approach that integrates somatic therapy principles with a deep understanding of sexual health, empowerment, and relational dynamics. It is designed to address the complex layers of sexual trauma, pleasure, intimacy, and embodiment. Our model emphasizes the concentric nature of human experience, where each layer of our being— physical, emotional, cognitive, relational, and sociocultural— interacts and influences our sexual identity and experiences.

This model is grounded in the belief that sexual healing and empowerment are not merely about resolving dysfunction or trauma but about fostering a holistic sense of embodied self-awareness and relational connection. By focusing on the body as a central vessel for healing, Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy enables individuals to explore and integrate their sexual experiences with a profound sense of presence and agency.

The Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy Training at the Embodied Relationships Training Center is a rigorous and immersive program designed for counseling students and seasoned professionals. It is structured to provide participants with a deep theoretical understanding of the Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy Model and practical tools and techniques that can be immediately applied in therapeutic settings.

Participants will explore key areas, including:

Somatic Awareness and Integration: Developing the capacity to tune into and work with the body's sensations, movements, and expressions relating to sexual identity and experiences.

Trauma-Informed Sexual Healing: Understanding the impact of sexual trauma on the body and how to facilitate safe, supportive processes for healing and integration.

Relational Dynamics and Intimacy: Learning to navigate and support clients in their interpersonal and sexual relationships, emphasizing consent, boundaries, and mutual respect.

Sexual Empowerment and Pleasure: Fostering a positive, empowered approach to sexual expression and pleasure, helping clients reclaim their sexual agency and joy.
