The ISEE Holistic Sex Therapy Training Program (HSTT) offers the very best training in sex therapy, using a holistic and intersectional lens. We go deep, engaging you in important questions and challenging you to see new perspectives. Our embodied approach is backed by research, and you will have some of the best practitioners in the field as instructors.  ISEE offers approximately 200 AASECT CEs hours* of comprehensive training in holistic methods of sex therapy and counseling.  You may use all of these hours toward AASECT certification requirements, or simply use our program to greatly enhance your skills, knowledge, and confidence when in practice. Participants in this program also receive reduced rates on supervision from a number of AASECT Certified Supervisors, allowing you greater choice in your supervision.  For more information on instructors, supervisors, or the program please see the page listed here. Location: All online with occasional opportunities for in-person alternative classes (optional).
Sexuality Attitude Reassessment (SAR)
Sexuality Counseling (SC) Training:
SC2. Theory and methods of sexuality counseling approaches to specific populations (e.g., youth, older adult, couples, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities, ethnic/ cultural/ faith-based populations).
SC3. Theory and methods of different approaches to intervention in relationship systems.
SC4. Theory and methods of decision-making concerning sexually related medical interventions.
SC5. Ethical issues in sexuality counseling.
SC6. Theory and practice of consultation, collaboration and referral.
Sex Therapy (ST) Training:
ST1. Theory and methods of sex-related psychotherapy, including several different models.
ST2. Techniques of sex-related assessment and diagnosis of the Psychosexual Disorders described in the current edition of the DSM.
ST3. Theory and methods of approach to intervention in relationship systems experiencing sex and intimacy problems.
ST4. Theory and method of approach to medical intervention in the evaluation and treatment of psychosexual disorders.
ST5. Principles of consultation, collaboration and referral.
ST6. Ethical decision-making and best practice.
