Certificate in Passion and Presence® Mindful Relationship Sex Therapy
Supporting intimate partners in their healing, depth, and embodied connection
The Passion and Presence® Certificate offers a somatic, mindful, and relational approach to sexual healing and growth. Going beyond talk therapy, it integrates experiential practices that help access the implicit roots of many presenting concerns. Grounded in somatic trauma therapy, parts work, interpersonal neurobiology, and Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, this 132-hour, 16-month training is a transformative journey designed to cultivate confidence and competence in working with the nuanced complexities of sexuality in long-term relationships.
Rooted in the understanding that a strong, collaborative partnership is essential to sustained intimacy, the program devotes significant attention to general relationship therapy. It supports partners in interrupting entrenched patterns, fostering curiosity, and cultivating compassion and mutual vulnerability. You’ll be equipped to help partners build deeper emotional and physical intimacy, greater resilience, and authentic connection.
Through a rich blend of experiential learning and mindfulness-based methodology, you will gain practical tools to help intimate partners navigate a wide range of challenges—including low or mismatched desire, shame, power struggles, sexual aversion, trauma, performance anxiety, aging, infidelity, differing arousal pathways, and more.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice the Passion and Presence skills both in class and during monthly home group sessions. You'll also observe live demonstrations with real couples and fellow participants to help you develop techniques you can use immediately with clients. A comprehensive set of in-session exercises and take-home activities will further support your learning.
