In this training, Dr. Marie Thouin will offer CNM (consensual non-monogamy) people and their therapists/counselors critical understandings and tools to improve relationship satisfaction, security, and positive empathy, based on her research-based model of compersion.
Dr. Thouin will cover:
*What is compersion? Myths, Realities, Complexities
*What promotes/hinders compersion?
*How social and intersectional lenses impact compersion
We’ll have discussion and time for Q&A as well.

Dr. Marie Thouin is a leading scholar on the topic of compersion (positive empathy) and the author of the groundbreaking book, "What is Compersion? Understanding Positive Empathy in Consensually Non-Monogamous Relationships”. She has published seminal research studies, the first-ever encyclopedia entry on compersion, and is the creator of www.WhatIsCompersion.com, a popular website that features her research, blogs, and other resources on compersion. Marie is also a Mindful Dating & Relationship Coach who supports people of all backgrounds in creating intentional and vibrant love lives. Her work on mindful dating and compersion has been featured in several magazines and podcasts, including ELLE, the Savage Lovecast, and Multiamory.
