Description of Event:
Like a Pro brings the transformative model of the Wheel of Consent to professionals working with topics of consent, boundaries, relational intimacy, body sovereignty, trauma recovery, sexuality, communication, and touch. Originally developed for touch practitioners, the course has, by popular demand, expanded to include non-touch professionals like therapists, coaches, teachers, and workshop leaders.
 
Like a Pro guides you into a personal somatic experience of The Wheel, and then teaches you how to integrate it into your practice, to make all your sessions safe, effective, and satisfying.
 
Like A Pro courses are taught by certified faculty from The School of Consent, who have been trained by Dr. Betty Martin, the developer of the Wheel of Consent.
 
This course is taught by a Queer teaching team and is exclusively for students who identify as Queer

Sexuality Education (SE) Training:
SE2. Theory and methods of sexuality education (including curriculum development, delivery and evaluation).
SE3. Ethical issues in sexuality education.
 
Sexuality Counseling (SC) Training:
SC1. Theory and methods of personal/individual counseling.
SC5. Ethical issues in sexuality counseling.
 
Sex Therapy (ST) Training:
ST1. Theory and methods of sex-related psychotherapy, including several different models.
ST3. Theory and methods of approach to intervention in relationship systems experiencing sex and intimacy problems.
ST6. Ethical decision-making and best practice.
