Joy of Intimacy: Communication & Relationship Skills

Title of Event: Joy of Intimacy: Communication & Relationship Skills

Description of Event:

What is intimacy? How does it affect our lives? Is it inviting or terrifying? In this full-day class, we will have open discussions and embodied exercises to clarify what it means to have intimacy with ourselves and others. We will distinguish the differences between sexual expression and intimacy. We will explore the history that we hold in our minds and bodies about who we are and the obstacles of identity that block intimacy in our lives. By facilitating experiences that involve nonsexual interaction, we will still get to a deeper understanding of what challenges us and what excites us about feeling connected to ourselves and others. We will practice presenting skills, and respecting people within their boundaries.

This class will be an experience of being seen for the fullness of who we are and how intimacy is essential in moving forward through the complexities of sexual relationships.
