Description of Event:

Many women struggle with barriers to sexual desire, pleasure, and self-acceptance that impact both personal wellbeing and intimate relationships. This 1-hour course provides clinicians with frameworks and interventions to support female clients in cultivating deeper connection to their sexual selves. Participants will explore biopsychosocial influences on female sexuality, strategies for addressing shame and cultural conditioning, and techniques to enhance body awareness, desire, and sexual communication. Through clinical tools and case examples, therapists will gain confidence in helping clients develop healthier, more fulfilling sexual identities and experiences.

Sex Therapy (ST) Training:

ST2. Techniques of sex-related assessment and diagnosis of the Psychosexual Disorders described in the current edition of the DSM.
ST3. Theory and methods of approach to intervention in relationship systems experiencing sex and intimacy problems.
ST4. Theory and method of approach to medical intervention in the evaluation and treatment of psychosexual disorders.
