The discussion will also include strategies for effectively communicating these shifts to parents, administrators, and educators.

Dealing With Disclosure

Title of Event: Dealing With Disclosure

Description of Event:
As professionals who work with people in clinical, educational, or medical, settings, we are aware that approximately 25% of our clients will have histories of child sexual abuse. We may not know - or even think we need to know - which of them is a survivor. Should we ask? Should we expect our clients, students, or patients to tell us? If they do - how do we deal with that disclosure?
