Description of Event: In this implicit bias workshop, participants will engage in critical self-reflection and gain tangible strategies for supporting clients who are multiracial/multicultural/mixed. Participants will explore commonly held assumptions and biases about mixed individuals, learn more about what it means to be ‘mixed’ and related challenges, be introduced to approaches to help facilitate better discussions with mixed clients about identity and belonging, and end with introductions to treatment and intervention options to help mixed clients develop a stronger sense of self and create a sense of belonging through healthy relationships.
