In early April, all voting members of AASECT will be invited to vote in the election of officers, board members, and nominating committee members. The election will be held electronically, except in rare cases where no email exists for a voting member. In those case, paper ballots will be distributed.

AASECT Certified Sex Therapist Gerald R. Weeks, Ph.D., ABPP recently published the third edition of his book, Couples in Treatment (S. Fife co-author) with Routledge/Taylor & Francis Publishers. This text is his 20th professional book. Weeks also was elected president of the 21st International Sexual Health Congress to be held April 17 – 20, 2014 in Antalyaya, Turkey. He says the event welcomes U.S. participants.
Certified Sexuality Educatory Susan Stiritz will oversee AASECT educational offerings at Washington University in St. Louis. The university was recently named as an AASECT Institutional Provider.
AASECT members Mark A. Michaels and Patricia Johnson have written a new book, Partners in Passion: A Guide to Great Sex, Emotional Intimacy, and Long-Term Love, which was published on February 14, 2014.
Certified Sex Therapist Jennie Hilleren and AASECT members Heather Verjovsky, Renee Divine, June La Valleur, and Laura Rademacher have started a therapy practice focusing on issues of sexuality. The practice, SkyHill, opened in September and is located in Edina, MN.
Certified Sexuality Educator Elisabeth Sheff has written a new book entitled The Polyamorists Next Door: Inside Multiple-Partner Relationships and Families (published by Rowman and Littlefield). According to Sheff, the book is the first of its kind to report the findings from a 15-year study of polyamorous families with children.
Certified Sexuality Educator Alice Holland has been appointed director of student health services at Quinnipiac University. Holland is responsible for coordinating the university's student health care services around the clock during the academic year. She is also responsible for the clinical supervision of student health services personnel, managing provider and staff services and the annual budget. In addition, she trains health service professionals and the work study staff.
Certified Sex Therapist Joe Kort, Ph.D. has accepted a position in the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program. Kort will be a part of the teaching faculty on GLBTQ studies.
AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator Anne Katz’s book, This Should Not be Happening: Young Adults with Cancer, was published by the Oncology Nursing Society on January 2. The book offers information and insight on a broad range of issues affecting young people with cancer.
