November 2014: AASECT Congratulates Those Who Have Recently Been Certified

AASECT congratulates the following members on their new certifications:

Patricia Littwin, MS, LPC, Douglas K. Lormand, MS, MEd, LPC, Deborah McDaniel-Dunn, MA, LPC, LPCC, Kerstin Miller, MDiv, LMFT, Melanie P. Ricaurte, PsyD, MEd, and Holly Richmond, PhD were certified as sex therapists.

Rachel Pearson, PhD, LCMFT was certified as a supervisor of sex therapy. Gerald R. Weeks, PhD, ABPP was also certified as a supervisor of sex therapy under special circumstances.

Heather Alberda was certified as a sexuality educator.

Marianne Matzo, PhD, FAAN was certified as a sexuality counselor.

Collins, LISW-S, and Martha Eve Kauppi, MS, LMFT were certified as sex therapists. Kamara McAndrews, MA, LMFT, DAACS was also certified as a sex therapist under special circumstances.

Eliezer R. Mayer, PsyD was certified as a supervisor of sex therapy under special circumstances.

Northern Arizona University Names Andrew S. Walters, PhD, MPH, its 2014 President’s Distinguished Teaching Fellow

Northern Arizona University named Andrew S. Walters, PhD, MPH, its 2014 President's Distinguished Teaching Fellow, the University's highest teaching honor. Walters is a professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences who studies sexuality education, gender performances, sexuality, and sexual health in under-represented and ethnic minority populations. The three-year fellowship allows him to develop and teach his dream course, and also to serve on the board of the Northern Arizona University Teaching Academy. Walters is an AASECT-certified Sexuality Educator.
