Vintage Kink: Keeping It Kinky As We Age" is designed to explore and celebrate the continued expression of kink and BDSM practices among older adults. This class delves into the unique considerations and adaptations necessary for maintaining a fulfilling and safe kinky lifestyle as we age.
Participants will learn about the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of aging that can impact kink practices, as well as strategies for communication, consent, and safety. The course will cover topics such as adapting activities for changing bodies, addressing common health issues, and fostering a supportive and inclusive kink community for older individuals. Through discussions, practical advice, and guided exercises, this class aims to empower older adults to embrace their sexuality and kink interests with confidence and joy.
Learning Objectives:
Objective 1: Participants will recognize how aging impacts sexual health and intimacy,
Objective 2: Participants will be able to discuss societal norms that marginalize the sexual desires of older adults.
Objective 3: Participants will be able to identify at least 2 strategies to incorporate discussions of sexuality and pleasure into traditional care planning, treatment planning, and caregiving for older adults.
Objective 3:Participants will learn how to encourage exploration of desires and boundaries.
Objective 4: Participants will be able to practice how to facilitate safe and consensual exploration of sexual desires and boundaries in aging populations.
Objective 5: Participants will be able identify and discuss new and adaptive methods to support the sexual and intimate lives of older adults, promoting lifelong pleasure and connection.
