Description of Event:
The Institute for Sex Education & Enlightenment (ISEE) is an approved Level 2 Organizational Provider of AASECT CE's that uses a mind-body-spirit approach to learning. ISEE is offering an exclusive, intimate training program for people who wish to teach sacred sexuality/sex & spirituality. The program is a combination of academic e-learning on human sexuality (27 AASECT CEs), coaching (6 sessions) and a a 5-day in-person retreat. The webinars will allow you to learn sexual function as well as to be trained in presentation skills, to manage emotional content and trauma reactions in teaching environments, and more. The coaching will allow you to define your own ideas and gain skills and insights into how you can approach your topic within your own value system. The in-person retreat will be a cooperative approach where you will practice skills, examine ideas, collaborate with others, and discuss philosophies of practice. The retreat is designed to allow you to integrate and operationalize all that you have learned with the support of incredible peers. Sexuality Education (SE) Training:
SE1. Sexuality education training will include, but is not limited to: theory and methods of general education (including curriculum development, delivery and evaluation).
SE2. Theory and methods of sexuality education (including curriculum development, delivery and evaluation).
SE3. Ethical issues in sexuality education.
SE4. Theory and methods of approaches to sexuality education with specific populations (e.g., youth, older adults, couples, ethnic/ cultural/ faith-based populations, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities).
SE5. Theory and methods of different approaches to sexuality education delivery (e.g., small group work, one-on-one education, large group lectures or interaction, online delivery or use of other electronic means).
