Description of Event: This workshop explores strategies for protecting reproductive rights and promoting comprehensive sex education amid shifting political landscapes. Participants will examine the current challenges to sexual and reproductive health access, including legislative restrictions, misinformation, and systemic inequities. The session offers practical tools for advocacy, community engagement, and supporting individuals’ bodily autonomy, emphasizing inclusive, evidence-based approaches. Through case studies and interactive discussion, attendees will learn how to navigate uncertainty while safeguarding access to reproductive healthcare and education. This workshop is ideal for educators, healthcare providers, activists, and allies dedicated to empowering communities and advancing sexual and reproductive justice.
 
Course objectives:
- Learn how to naviagte the uncertain and ever changing landscape of reproductive and sexual health/education legislation in the United States.
- Understand the history of reproductive and sexual healthcare/education in the United States.
- Become familiar with intersectional barriers to reproductive healthcare and sexual education.
- Come up with ways to continue to promote, provide, and protect reproductive healthcare and sexual education.
