I'd like to invite everyone to extend a warm welcome to our new Book Review Coordinator, Bianca Nagy.
Bianca is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Philosophy and Political Science. She is a passionate and committed advocate of sexual health, sexual education, and human sexuality. Recent accomplishments include helping to set up a community sexual health clinic and designing, researching, and implementing a developmental policy geared toward youth. Bianca hopes to continue her education, as well as continue working for organizations that are geared toward sexuality.
Bianca is now actively seeking out materials for review in Contemporary Sexuality. Thanks to feedback from our members back in the fall of 2013, we are branching out from reviewing academic texts alone. We are also taking suggestions for relevant films, in addition to tools that can be used by our members in the classroom, in a therapeutic setting, etc. If you know of a recently published or forthcoming book or other resource you feel deserves to be reviewed in a future issue of Contemporary Sexuality, you can email Bianca at revieweditor.aasect@gmail.com.
Perhaps more importantly, Bianca is also seeking out reviewers. If you are interested in writing reviews for Contemporary Sexuality, please email her with a letter of interest that includes your specific areas of expertise and/or interest, so that we can more easily match up books and other materials with the best possible reviewers.
