Description of Event:

This course explores inclusive, evidence-informed strategies for engaging parents, caregivers, and families in comprehensive family sexuality education. Participants will explore research-based frameworks and practical tools for building sex-positive environments at home and in educational spaces to support young people’s sexual health. It covers topics including preventing child sexual abuse, navigating consent and digital culture, and effective communication techniques to support conversations about sexuality across diverse family structures. This course empowers adults to be confident, informed sexuality educators in their families and communities. Participants will receive 12 hours of (virtual) live and interactive lectures and discussions with the instructor and other participants, with the option to receive 12 hours of pre-recorded content as well.
