Title of Event: To be or not to be: Is Becoming a Sex Therapist for Me?
Description of Event:
This training explores the key factors involved in incorporating sex therapy into clinical practice, including how sex therapy is defined, what the role entails, and whether this specialty is the right fit for a given clinician. Participants will learn about various sex therapy modalities and the range of diagnoses commonly addressed in this work, illustrated through case vignettes and treatment examples.
The course also covers client assessment, criteria for determining when to take on a sex therapy client versus referring out, and relevant ethical considerations.
