Description of Event: Cults, particularly destructive cults, are spaces where opportunities for violence and abuses of power abound, and sexuality communities are at higher risk than other groups for developing into arenas of undue influence. The promise of sex, the comfort of community and the transcendence of spiritual growth over the material world are strong draws for people in our uncertain time and divided culture.
