Indiana adopts Zachary’s Law in remembrance of victim Zachary Snider. It requires sex offenders to register with all local law-enforcement officials for 10 years after their release and calls for a website which will post the names, crimes, contact information, and photographs of all offenders in the state. Others states imitate the statute. By 1995, California makes a CD-ROM available that includes 64,000 sex offenders.
