This introductory workshop offers a foundational overview of polyamory and non-monogamous relationships, including key umbrella terms, relational structures (hierarchical, non-hierarchical, relationship anarchy, and more), and common critiques that emerge within polyamory communities. These frameworks will be explored through the lenses of the Ace, Aro, Bi, and Pan spectrums, highlighting how cultural assumptions about attraction and relationships shape people’s experiences.

And the Internet is teeming with offerings that combine spirituality and sexology, so the market is meeting a very real demand.

What is the nature of the sexual power exchange? What is the difference between Domination/submission and S/M? What is a kink? Are fetishes healthy? What are some dynamics of sexual sensation play? What types of behaviors are involved, what are the “rules” or good guidelines for people who want to practice kink? In this workshop, we will explore definitions, discuss varieties of behaviors, begin to understand the vast world of power exchange, and be introduced to various fetishes.

This course is designed for both professional mental health workers AND individuals looking to establish safety and connection in their KINKY sex practices. We'll examine how incorporating the modern science of Interpersonal Neurobiology with KINK dynamics can allow for increased co-regulation and self-regulation skills so we can fully enjoy the ANXIETY and STRESS we intentionally invite into SEX.

This class will help you to understand basic terminology used about and within these communities as well as teaching necessary skills on how to negotiate relationship agreements, emotional support plans and kink scenes.

People who engage in kink deserve judgment-free, risk-reduction education. Learn about different models of consent, risk evaluation, and best practices for discussing kink behaviors in the classroom.
