Most medical professionals do not directly address how a patient's sexual experience will change with chronic pain, surgery, cancer, and medications. I emphasize the overall balance of pleasure and pain in life. To counter pain and anxiety, we must allow and train ourselves to experience the physical pleasure of touch.
