I've been practicing as a licensed clinical psychologist for over 26 years and an AASECT certified sex therapist for 11 years. I utilize a multicultural lens to understand and sensitively address an individual’s rich and unique cultural background. I take a sex-positive approach and I am sensitive to the consensual, diverse expressions of sexuality and lifestyles that individuals may bring. I am aware that talking about sex or sexual concerns can be difficult and may evoke feelings of shame, confusion, dysphoria, or anxiety. I believe strongly in fostering an accepting and non-judgmental environment that facilitates trust and puts an individual at ease when addressing their sexual concerns. I routinely give suggestions about what to work on or think about between sessions. I see a lot of couples and individuals presenting with a wide variety of concerns, including: non-monogamy, kink/fetish, erectile dysfunction, premature/early ejaculation, low desire, anorgasmia.
