Philosophy:
Many people find my unique mind-body approach to be effective and useful as they face sexual difficulties, relationship problems, or recovery from sexual trauma or childhood sexual abuse. I offer a supportive environment in which questions and concerns are talked about openly. I frequently suggest homework exercises so that clients can continue the process of addressing concerns between sessions. This makes the counseling process more efficient and cost-effective. I blend yoga therapy and mindfulness with sex counseling in my work with clients who are experiencing pelvic pain and pain with intercourse. I employ the principles of trauma-sensitive yoga in combination with sexuality counseling for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
