Philosophy:

I practice Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and study what works in therapy. Many of my clients are members of sexual or other minorities, people working in the arts, or who in one way or another defy easy categorization, hence the name of my blog, Not Easily Categorized: http://couplefamilyandsextherapynyc.com/not-easily-categorized/

I'm licensed to work with people who live in these states: NY, NJ, CT, FLA, and PA. In everything I do I hope to be of assistance to others as effectively and kindly as I can. My current work as a marriage and family therapist in private practice is very interwoven with practicing Buddhism and yoga. I work primarily with couples, families, and people experiencing sexual issues, discrimination and illnesses. For me, working with human sexuality is social justice work as many so many people suffer from sexual trauma or exploitation, and people from sexual minorities suffer tremendous discrimination. When I first opened my private practice, these were the people who came to me for help, so I paid attention and learned from them how to be of service to them.
