Sex Therapist
Profession/Job Title:
Licensed Professional Counselor
Areas of Specialization:
I specialize in three areas I rarely treat in isolation. Sexual health: desire, arousal, orgasm, and pain concerns, performance anxiety, sexual shame, and the impact of trauma on intimacy. Identity and expression: sexual orientation and gender identity exploration, kink and BDSM, polyamory and ethical non-monogamy, relationship anarchy, and navigating any of these within existing partnerships. Relational patterns: couples sexual and emotional disconnection, pursue-withdraw cycles, and individuals working on the attachment patterns that show up most painfully in their closest relationships. I hold advanced certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy for individuals (EFIT) and couples (EFCT) alongside my AASECT certification — which means I can hold the clinical complexity of all three areas at once rather than treating each separately. Affirming care for all identities, bodies, and relationship structures without reservation.
Offers Telepractice Options:
Yes
Office Hours:

Philosophy:
I believe your struggles make sense. The sexual shame, the relational anxiety, the patterns that keep repeating — they developed in response to real experiences and real messages about who you were allowed to be. Understanding those origins with curiosity rather than judgment is what makes lasting change possible. I work with the emotions underneath the behavior, the body's learned responses, and the attachment needs that have always been there waiting to be met. I am an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and Advanced EFT therapist working at the intersection of sexuality, anxiety, and attachment. These are rarely separate concerns. They share the same roots. That is where we go. All identities, relationship structures, and expressions of sexuality are genuinely welcome here.
Other Information:
I offer a free 20-minute consultation for individuals and couples before beginning therapy. This is a no-pressure conversation to discuss what you are looking for and determine whether we are a good fit. I see clients in person on Thursdays at my office in Herndon, Virginia and virtually throughout Virginia via secure video. I typically respond to new inquiries within 48 hours Monday through Friday. I am currently accepting new clients.
