Philosophy:
My professional philosophy in sex therapy is grounded in a holistic, client-centered approach that integrates empathy, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based practices. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore and express their sexual identities, experiences, and concerns. My practice is deeply informed by a neurodivergent- friendly, disability-inclusive, kink-affirming, LGBTQ+ friendly, and culturally sensitive framework, aiming toward ensuring that all clients feel respected and understood regardless of their backgrounds or lifestyles.
Other Information:
The goals of my sex therapy practice are multifaceted. First, I aim to foster sexual wellness by addressing the physical, emotional, and relational aspects of sexuality, encouraging open and honest communication about sexual desires, boundaries, and concerns. Supporting diverse sexual identities is another critical goal; I affirm and support various sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions, providing specialized care that respects and validates each client's unique experiences. Enhancing intimacy and relationships is also paramount. Utilizing frameworks such as the Gottman Method, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and sex therapy techniques, I work to strengthen intimate relationships and resolve conflicts related to sexual issues, fostering deeper connections and understanding between partners. Addressing sexual dysfunctions and concerns is another significant goal. I employ a variety of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, brainspotting, IFS, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness, to help clients overcome challenges like low libido, performance anxiety, and past sexual trauma. Additionally, I aim to educate and empower clients with comprehensive sexual education, equipping them with knowledge about their bodies, sexual health, and safe sexual practices, and encouraging informed and consensual sexual experiences through education on consent models and healthy boundaries.
