The U.S. Supreme Court in Federal Communications Commission v. Pacifica uphold the FCC’s ban on vulgar words to shield the ears of youth. It supports people’s fears that sexual language can rob kids of their innocence; endanger their developmental and psychological growth with anxiety, fear, nightmares, and oversexualized behavior; and lead them to mimic sexual activity they see.
