Diplomate Certified Sex Therapist and longtime AASECT member Wendy Maltz's book The Porn Trap: The Essential Guide to Overcoming Problems Caused by Pornography (coauthored with her husband Larry Maltz) is now available in an (uncensored) Chinese translation.

Sandy L. Caron, PhD, has recently returned from abroad, where she offered a course through the University of Maine entitled Human Sexuality in Europe. Caron traveled with a dozen undergraduate students from London to Amsterdam to Stockholm. She previously offered a similar study course through Syracuse University from 1996-2005.
We Extend Our Condolences to Marti Barham, RN, PhD

AASECT member Marti Barham, RN, PhD recently died this past January. She was an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (1982), Supervisor of Sex Therapy (1989), and Diplomate of Sex Therapy (2003).

This past Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report on pregnancy among teenagers. They revealed that more younger teens were giving birth between the ages of 15 to 17, and also explored what could possibly be done to turn this tide.

Back in the summer of 2013, Routledge — an academic publisher with a focus on academic texts and scholarly journals — announced it was putting together a scholarly journal that would take a closer look at pornography and sexual representations. That journal, Porn Studies, has finally arrived.
