How Can We Continue Challenging What We Think and How We Practice? [1]
In our June 2014 issue of Contemporary Sexuality, we published a piece entitled "Exploring Evolving Clinical Models for Sex Therapy [2]." Using the debate about the sex addiction model as a jumping-off point, we explore licensing standards, research, and the need to continue questioning what we think and how we practice.
In particular, we ask questions like:
How can we more effectively serve those we're licensed to serve?
How can AASECT continue to be a distinct voice among sexual health practitioners and educators?
How do we maintain an effective dialogue about evolving clinical models for sex therapy?
How do we continue promoting this type of dialogue, and when do we take a stand?
