I have spent decades counseling individuals and couples about most relationship and sexual issues including sexual dysfunctions, gender issues, partrner choice, low sexual desire, intimacy and body image concerns, as well as sexual compulsions and addictions. I also have a great deal of experience helping clients to overcome fears, anxiety, and anger as well as pain management and the types of problems that occur with aging, illness and loss of significant others.  

Office Hours:

Office hours are flexible, by appointment, including daytime, evening, even weekends. I also offer powerful intensives, for clients that live in distant cities or want to work more intensively. 

Billing Information:

Payment is usually made at the end of each session via credit card or personal check. If requested, I will offer a discounted flat rate of 10% for a series of 10 sessions. Clients are usually reimbursed for my services by any PPO insurance company. In some cases, I will accept your insurance and you will only have to pay your designated copay. 

Philosophy:

To me, sexual and relationship problems are not separate from the rest of our lives. Sexual problems are merely symptoms, our bodies reminding us to pay attention to persons, activities, emotions, or something about our physical health. As we focus on our bodies and the issues in our lives, past and present, we discover what has been blocking our pleasure and enjoyment. That gives us the freedom and ability to transform our current relationships or create the kind of intimacy we have always desired in a new relationship. But often, even when we do understand what is stopping us, we cannot eliminate the obstacles all by ourself. That's where I come in. I can help you to recognize your own strengths and tap into resources you may not have realized you have. In just a few short sessions, perhaps one, two or three months of conscientious effort to create change in your life, you may be astounded by the results.

My approach is unique. It involves traditional sex therapy methods, marriage and relationship counseling techniques, along with a focus on the mind-body connection through awareness and the experience of body psychotherapy.
