We offer outstanding marital counseling and psychotherapy with exceptional expertise for the following disorders: Women: low sexual desire, vaginismus, unconsumated marriage, painful intercourse, difficulty, or lack of, arousal and orgasm Couples: loss of sexual desire and orgasmic difficulties, marital conflict, Discrepant desire, unconsumated marriage, communication difficulties, divorce prevention We have also enjoyed an outstanding success rate with marital counseling. The focus is positive and solutions-oriented. Improvement is almost always experienced within three sessions.

Billing Information:

Payment is made at the time of the visit. PPO insurance typically reimburses for this out-of network, out-patient service. Reimbursement by their insurance company is the patient's responsibility. HMOs and Medicare do not cover this therapy. 

Philosophy:

In 1989, after training and practicing at Loyola Medical Center's Sex Clinic under Dr. Domeena Renshaw, Director and Sex Therapist R. Hutcheson established the Center for Sexual Dysfunction and Marital Therapy as a specialized resource for the above disorders. This unique center has served the Chicago area for 19 years by discrete physician referrals. Two of Evanston Northwestern Hopsital urologists voted as Chicago Magazine's top 500 physicians have referred their patients to the Center for 15 years. What makes the Center uniquely able to offer outstanding results to you, the patient, is that therapy is administered only and completely by a Certified Sex Therapist with almost two decades treating low sex drive, orgasmic difficulties, ED, etc. Each patient receives individualized treatment and benefits from the fact that the therapist they are receiving their treatment from has 18 years of clinical expertise with their problem. The center is highly respected by Evanston Northwestern Memorial and other area hospital physicians. 99% of our patients have been referred by their physician from 1989-2007. Having worked closely with leading physicians from Evanston Northwestern Memorial Hospital as well as other leading Chicago area Hospital physicians there is an acute awareness of the medical, psychoglocial and physiological aspects of sexual function. The treamtent approach offered has allowed consistent success with sexual dysfucntion that has both a physical and/or psycholgical basis. R. Hutcheson has been invited to educate physicians, graduate students and radio and TV audiences for 17 years. R. Hutcheson and a urologist specializing in sexual dysfunction co-led a hospital group for 7 years for women whose husband's suffered with erectile disorder. What percentage of your practice are disorders of sexual function? Will we or I receive our counseling and psychotherapy only by the Certified Sex Therapist for the entire therapy? Will I also be partially or solely receiving psychotherapy by an associate, student or therapist in training? Is my sex therapist fully AASECT-certified?
