Effective January 1, 2015, the 20 CE credits needed for certification renewal must be AASECT Approved or AASECT-sponsored CE credits.

Also starting January 1, 2015, the minimum number of hours for Sex Therapist Supervision certification will be increased from 250 to 300 AASECT supervised hours. It will be required that the supervision process take place over a minimum of 12 - 18 months.

Supervision for Sexuality Counselor will take place over a minimum of 12 - 18 months.

Supervision for Sexuality Educators will take place over a minimum of 12 months.

Certification Renewal will occur every three (3) years in all categories, effective immediately. The fee will be $150. The number of CE credits required for certification renewal is 20 CE credits.
